Outdoor Living: Firepit, Water Features, Sail Shades
We won a Contractor of the Year award for these homeowners’ kitchen, so when they decided their backyard didn’t provide the same ease-of-entertaining as their new kitchen, they gave us a call. They had a number of items they wanted us to provide, including updates for some of the features they already had and adding several new features.
Remodeling the outdoor living space started by renovating the pool interior and kool deck. Adding sail shades made the pool comfortable to use even in the harshest sunlight. We also rejuvenated their landscaping by removing old plants and replacing them with new ones.
The yard had an existing conversation pit with a small chiminea that never quite provided the ambience the homeowners were looking for. We gave them a beautiful gas fire pit, covered with flagstone and decorative tile and filled with crushed glass. A new water feature in the corner of the yard added a soothing sound, as well as a beautiful look.
After completing work on the back yard, we started on the back patio. We updated their existing barbecue grill and drinking fountain, as well as designing a new food prep area. The new cabinets, sink, and granite countertop were designed to make backyard entertaining easy and efficient. The final step for updating the patio was installing a retractable screen to offer relief from insects when needed.
